Seeking Clarity

When feeling stuck or not sure of a path a take, this can halt a goal, a dream in its midst or even allow you to quit altogether. A lot of people waste a lot of time as well because they are just waiting for inspiration to strike. Well my friends, you could be waiting forever.  Increasing your clarity increases your chances of success in performing your goal. Luckily, clarity is a trait that you can start doing today as it has nothing to do with personality.

In order to gain in self-discovery, you must be more self-aware. Being self-aware requires massive action.

Steps to find clarity: asking questions, trying new things and researching.

Questions to ask: 

  • What do you value?
  • What are your strengths?
  • What are your weaknesses?
  • How do you feel right now?
  • How do you want to feel?
  • What is going right in your life right now?
  • What other things would make life even better?
  • What is bothering you at the moment and why?
  • How’s your energy during your day to day?
  • If your energy is low, what could you do to improve it?
  • Is anything currently draining your energy?
  • What does your ideal day look like?
  • What did you enjoy doing as a child?
  • Who are you currently inspired by and why?

Trying new things: 

Once your answer above, it’s time to get to work. Experiment with yourself and try something new.

Are there weaknesses that maybe you can improve on that help you with your goals?

Have you been feeling low energy, fatigued? What is it about your diet that is making you feel sluggish? Try a new meal plan, have a friend join so you can keep each other accountable.

Try having your ideal day? Any way to prioritize some of your days to have more of this?

It’s important to not limit yourself. Try something new and you may find a new realization of yourself. You may see that you are capable of so much more than you thought.


Get your learning on!

Researching and discovering new ways of thinking can really help in seeking clarity in your life. Discovery podcasts have been an amazing educational tool.

There are podcasts for a broad audience, there might be someone that you might resonate with.

Book lover but don’t have the time to read? Try audible, it is the only way I can get through 2 books within a month span.

Start thinking about hobbies or things you were into when you were young. Is there still a yurning for them? Are you still curious on what could have been if you would have stuck through it?

As you are reading, listen and looking back… is there anything that is sticking with you?

Quick Story…

When I started talking to my coach, one of my “stories” was that I felt like I was a failure.  I didn’t feel like I was good with follow through. It made me feel like a loser and I was afraid that I wasn’t going to finish this website.

Why did I feel this way? I started looking back to my past and those memories that stood out to me. How I quit band in my junior year because my teacher got a bit too tough or when I didn’t sign-up for the school’s signing band because I was too afraid.

Feeling these regrets and carrying with me into adulthood has not served me. Looking at them as a second person and evaluation the situation, analyzing how I felt and still feel, do I want to continue living out that story? Do I want to continue be a broken record of being too afraid and letting self-doubt just running the show?

No, I don’t, and I don’t think you want to feel that way either.

Seeking Clarity Pro Tip: 

Every Sunday before bed do a little audit report. Evaluation the week that just past and how you can possibly do things different. Try journaling and acting writing down (putting out to the universe) how you can make small or big changes.
